The International Air Transport Association (IATA) is the trade association for the world’s airlines, representing some 260 airlines or 83% of total air traffic. We support many areas of aviation activity and help formulate industry policy on critical aviation issues. IATA is led by Tony Tyler, Director General & CEO since July 2011. A guiding concept of IATA’s structure is “Global Development, Regional Delivery”, where the Head Office divisions drive the development of global standards, systems and advocacy positions, while the regional and country offices are responsible for implementation.
MEBAA is the official representative of the business aviation industry in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and is a member of the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC). Established in 2006, MEBAA is a non-profit association with the mission to provide a platform for its members to gather, understand and communicate the needs of the industry. The Association’s objectives are to enhance safety, efficiency and acceptance of business aviation in the region through training, lectures, panel discussions, establishing codes of conduct, and providing industry data.
MEBAA provides several products and services to its members, including MEBAA Insurance. In addition to various networking events, MEBAA hosts the MEBAA Show, which ranks as one of the three largest business aviation shows in the world and MEBAA Show Morocco, which take place biennially in alternate years.
